The Caves Monastery is the religious centre of Ukraine. It stretches along many hectares and it takes almost a day to visit . It's actually made up of more than one church . The most important are St Nicholas' Church, the Dormition Cathedral and the All Saints Church. The most impressive monument for me was the Trinity Gate Church, right at the entrance, with a striking well preserved 12th century architecture. Don't miss it if you get to Kiev.
